A couple of days ago I was having a conversation with an acquaintance who works at a local search engine optimization company. She told me that she had heard about the Dokter SEO Group by Seo tools.
This is an SEO consultancy group that touts themselves as experts in search engine optimization and that they will provide you SEO tools, called the Semrush Keyword Research Tool and the Semrush Niche Finder Tool.
However, one thing that struck me as interesting was that the tool didn’t seem to have any of the fancy bells and whistles that are so often associated with SEO. In other words, they don’t use things like Meta tags and alt image data. And, in fact, one of the features they advertise is that their keyword research tool will allow you to “simulate thousands of searches, to see how your keywords are faring.”
But, it also says nothing about how well the keywords do in real life. The tool certainly isn’t going to help you decide how effective your SEO effort actually is.
In fact, the Semrush SEO tools make it very difficult for anybody to test their value proposition. They’re also really expensive. This is obviously because nobody in his right mind is going to pay hundreds of dollars for a premier SEO company to come out and then claim afterward that you’re not getting the value out of your website.
Also, if you think about it, why is this necessary? If you have well-written content on your website that gets some reasonable traffic from organic searches, why do you need to test SEO? It makes absolutely no sense.
There are quite a few tools on the market that do test your keywords, however, none of them are anywhere near as powerful and accurate as of the Semrush tools. The Semrush SEO analyzes the competition for a particular keyword and compares that to your website.
It then works backward from there to figure out how well you will do with that particular keyword in relation to other keywords in your niche. Once you have this information, you can simply plug those into the SEO tool of your choice to determine exactly how you will rank.
The best part is that these keyword tools are all completely free. You don’t have to pay a single cent to use the tools. All you have to do is search for “free keyword tools” on Google and you’ll find a whole bunch of them out there. You should be able to find at least one, if not several, that are completely free of charge.
Another thing to keep in mind when you are deciding which of the tools on the Internet to use is to make sure that they are all SEO friendly. You wouldn’t want to waste your time and money using a tool that isn’t going to help you optimize your website. The tools are all easy to learn to use, but there is nothing better than having a tool that actually works. It’s always nice to get a tool that actually helps you get better rankings on the search engines.
